Sascha Müller – Artist Biography 2k23

Sascha Müller is a phenomenon. A German artist x producer x DJ who excelled well beyond any
stylistic borders throughout his career, both sonically and interdisciplinary.
Influenced by the prevalent AcidHouse-, Agreppo- and EBM-sound of the late 80s as well as
Cosmic, Synth and Krautrock he embarked on a journey into music production early on which
actually never stopped, resulting in a wide range of releases spanning from Techno to Hardcore,
Acid Mutant Electronics, Minimal, Noize and well beyond.

In total Sascha Müller has been responsible for a four digit number of digital and physical releases
over the course of more than three decades, employing both his own name as well as many secretive
monikers for his sound whilst also taking part in a plethora of collaborational projects.
Music produced by Sascha Müller has been released via major labels like Universal Music, ZYX
Music as well as on legendary underground imprints like Electronic Music Foundation, Teknotika
Records (USA), Intrauterin Recordings, Mille Plateaux and many others.
His musical versatility has also been recognized by the community of the music encyclopedia and
database discogs.com which included his name as a main player in their genre descriptions of Acid,
Acid House, Hard Techno and Techno.

Also Sascha Müller was nominated for the QUARTZ Electronic Music Awards 2006 in both their
'dance music' and 'electronic music' categories.
As a DJ Sascha Müller performed at mainstay events like Thunderdome and Love Parade as well as
in clubs and festivals in many major cities around Europe.
He launched his '90s Rave Radio' show in 2010, focusing on all time classics and lesser known
vinyl gems form the past. The monthly show is broadcasted via EmsVechteWelle, one of the biggest
terrestrial and web-based radio stations in Northern Germany.
Furthermore his productions and DJ mixes have been aired on various shows and radio stations
worldwide, including important hubs for the German scene like Sunshine Live, 1 Live and HR3
Club Night amongst others.

Following an innate passion for hardware equipment Sascha Müller's legendary live sets are
regularly built from scratch, no matter if he explores realms of brutal and devastating Acid Techno
in a late night club setting or embarks on a journey into Experimental Noize and Ambient at cultural
events like opening receptions or art exhibitions.
Besides being in front of a real audience Sascha Müller also performed live throughout television
broadcasts on stations like Alex TV / Berlin or Offener Kanal / Flensburg on multiple occasions.
Employing the alias of Dr. NoiseM he also played at various experimental music events hosted by
the Liquid Sky Berlin crew, including aftershow parties of the SUPERBOOTH Berlin meeting and
many others.

Sascha Müller also is a major force within the LoBit Floppy Disk movement, a nerdy, yet ever
growing scene releasing mostly electronic music on old floppy disks as a preferred medium of
choice. This being said, Sascha Müller not only focuses on music for the dancefloor but also is involved in
music production for screen, movie and stage / theatre plays. His work in film and sound effects
were on display at the Cannes International Film Festival, ART Lab Tokyo and at the International
Film Festival Berlin. Furthermore he also was invited to participate in the Hollywood Independent
Music Awards.

Due to his vast and varied approach to the creation of quality electronic Sascha Müller also has
been invited as a guest speaker on several occasions, covering topics like music production, film
music production and computer music at the Fraunhofer-Institut für Digitale Medientechnologie,
the Floppy Totaal Festival in Amsterdam and others throughout which he shared slices of
knowledge and bits of experience accumulated over the course of his long lasting, exceptional and
intransigent journey within the music business.
